Kutná Hora - was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to the quantity and quality of its historical monuments. Because of its rich silver mines, Kutna Hora became the second most important town of medieval Bohemia. The richness of the city resulted in beautiful architecture and construction of several astonishing monuments such as Italian Court and St Barbara' s Cathedral. An other very interesting place is the Ossuary in Kutna Hora-Sedlec. The small Christian chapel of Ossuary is located beneath the Church of All Saints in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutna Hora. The ossuary of the "Bone Church," as it is popularly known, contains approximately 40,000 human skeletons which have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.
